 Two-Hour NoSew Decorating
“If you’re low on decorating funds...but want to freshen up your home...pick up a copy of this handy guide for a quick fix. Luxurious fabrics, trims, and tassels instantly transform old pillows, curtains, and bedspreads into extraordinary neckrolls, wall hangings, and throws...create placemats that will be the topic of conversation among your dinner guests....This companion will have you changing your soft furnishings and decorative accents with every new season.”—Vogue Patterns.
No-sew fabric projects appeal to sewers and nonsewers alike. Dunkley gives instructions for a variety of home decorating projects such as lampshades, floorcloths, curtains, and pillows. Although her instructions are clearly written and offer color photographs of the completed projects, those inexperienced with fabric crafts could use more illustrations. The styles here are more elaborate than seen in Juliet Bawden's No-Sew Soft Furnishings (LJ 5/15/99). Purchase for public libraries where there is a strong interest in easy craft projects.
