(ATLANTA – Jan. 12, 2010) /PRNewswire/ — Shaw Floors, the world's largest carpet manufacturer and a leading flooring provider, successfully achieved the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS designation for the world's Largest Pie Fight during the company's Dallas market event on Jan. 7. The history-making spectacle involved 434 participants as well as 1,200 cherry, chocolate and apple pies. The company held the pie fight on its premium Anso nylon carpet as a way to demonstrate Anso nylon's superior ability to repel stains and to be easily cleaned. Following the world-record event, Shaw cleaned approximately 3,000 pounds of pie from the carpet and displayed the previously pie-covered results in the lobby of the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, Texas, the site of the event.
